Attention 2021 spring brides! The chances are that you’ve already booked your dream wedding venue & possibly even got your heart set on the all-important wedding dress, & now you’re turning your attention to how you want to look on the day. The question is, where on earth do you start and what hair and makeup trends are on point for 2021 spring weddings?
We’ve got your back – these are the hottest wedding hair and makeup trends in 2021 for spring brides according the experts in this field:
Michelle Walker (Professional hair stylist)
Debbie Lloyd (Professional Makeup artist)
Debbie likes to work from a colour palette specifically designed to give you a spring vibe for your big day. This ensures you have a consistent look that represents the time of year you’re getting married.

In today’s blog, we have 3 examples using this palette with brides who have the most common hair colours – blonde, brunette & natural red hair.
Spring hair & makeup for Blonde hair brides
Our first gorgeous spring style, modelled by the lovely Eden is for the bride that likes a soft, pretty look:

You can see that Eden has a really soft, elegant hairstyle that incorporates a mermaid braid dressed to the side. This is perfect for the spring bride that still wants to feel as though she has her hair around her but wants the details on the back of her dress seen.

Great too If you’re lucky enough to have warm weather during your spring wedding as this hairstyle will keep your hair off the back of your neck.
It has minimal pinning (instead secured by small bands), making this style very comfortable to wear & secure – it’ll last all day which is one less thing to worry about! The hair is finished off with flowers to accentuate the detail of the braid.
Eden’s spring makeup draws attention to the eyes, with the soft, smokey colours and subtle definition along the top and bottom lash-line.

The Colours used are fairly neutral, so will compliment most skin tones and hair colour. On the eyes, Debbie used muted grey/brown tones to define with a hint of creamy peach on the lids to make the eyes pop. This is paired with a subtle peachy pink on the lips and cheeks. These colours are complimented with the lilac and cream hues of the flowers, which were kindly donated to us for this shoot by the wonderful Gemma at www.secretgardenclub.co.uk

Here’s a quick video to show you how this spring hair and makeup look came together will all the elements discussed above:
Spring hair & makeup for Brunette hair brides
Our second spring look was worn by the lovely Megan. This one is a Hollywood classic, incorporating those iconic waves for the bride that wants to feel super glamorous on her big day.

Preparation for this hairstyle is key. Clip-in hair extensions are added for extra hold so that the soft wave you start the day with will be just as good in the evening. Accessorised with a sparkly hair comb to one side that completes this modern take on a vintage look.

Megan’s spring makeup starts with the eyes that are made a feature with the strong, black flick liner. This is accompanied with soft caramel and apricot eyeshadows and blusher. To give this look the spring feel, a vibrant coral is added to the lips. Again, the vibrant colours from the flowers finish off the spring colour palette.

This is how the complete Hollywood inspired spring hair and makeup style came together in this mini video:
Spring hair & makeup for natural red hair brides
The final spring hair and makeup trend for brides getting married in 2021 is modelled by the lovely Devon.

We start with a soft, textured updo. A very popular look for the modern bride that wants to feel elegant but not “too done!” Soft twists give height and texture through the top of the hair, while a soft bun with hanging tendrils completes the style.

Michelle accessorised with a rose gold statement hair piece to give the extra wow factor, and it’s worth noting at this point that although this hairstyle looks very soft, the hair is prepared in a way that ensures it will hold all day long.
Debbie put together a fresh, minimal look that compliments natural features.

Pretty peaches are used on the eyes and cheeks to subtly compliment the red hair colour without over powering it. The orange and peach tones within the makeup bring out the vibrancy of the blue in Devon’s eyes.
This fresh makeup Look is finished off with a gloss on the lips that has a hint of peach.
