CEREMONIES AT HEDINGHAM CASTLE

It doesn’t get much more romantic than a candlelit castle for your big day. It’s grand, dramatic and everything you ever dreamed of on your wedding day. Once you’ve tied the knot, couples are allowed to spend some time in the gallery overlooking the ceremony room. Guests are ushered down to the bar area to grab a well earned drink but I love this time with my couples. The results are truly breathtaking:

We’ll often go outside the castle and across to the bridge for the confetti shot before heading over for reception drinks. It’s one of the most amazing backdrops to have Hedingham Castle feature as the guests throw the confetti. I try to get some time with my couples while we have the wedding car after they’re married. Once I have these shots, I’ll just kick back and capture some candids of the event.

THE RECEPTION AT HEDINGHAM CASTLE

Just out the back of the main building sits the beautiful marquee where couples will enjoy their wedding reception. During cocktail hour, you have access to the main house. It’s one of my favourite places to take photos of the guests and my couples. It’ll be the only time you have access to this area as it’s often occupied by the owners after a certain time. I think it gives you a nice variation from the castle to the bride, onto the house and then into the marquee.
