Stunning Blackmore Romance ~ Essex Wedding Photography

BLACKMORE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Carmen & Ricci enjoyed a stunning Blackmore wedding photography romance in Essex. I’m Chris Woodman, Essex wedding photographer, capturing timeless, classic wedding photography across the UK and beyond.

My couple wanted the photography coverage to start at a beautiful Essex AirBnB in Blackmore they hired for the morning. They didn’t want any groom prep, so it allowed me to take my time with the bridal party and get to know them – I even had a salmon breakfast with them, which was an awesome start to the day 🙂

I’m definitely a wedding photographer that enjoys a relaxed approach and captures real personalities rather than anything too cheesy or staged. My couples love this approach and it showed in Carmens getting ready session.

Just before we left in Carmens beautiful vintage wedding car, we wanted to utilise the stunning Blackmore grounds connected to the AirBnB. We kept things simple, natural and elegant by walking passed the well kept pool and into the gardens.

We were now all set and heading off to the Blackmore Church to get Carmen and Ricci married!

BLACKMORE CHURCH CEREMONY

It was a hot summers day and I remember there being more wedding guests than available seats in the Church. It’s quite rare for this to happen but we had guests squeezing in and peering in to grab a glimpse of the obviously popular couple. It was packed inside but everything about the ceremony was impeccably carried out. Carmen and Ricci are a very sweet couple and had no trouble showing this while on show to their nearest and dearest at the altar.

After a gorgeous 45 minute ceremony, we had ourselves a new Mr and Mrs to celebrate 🙂

The beautiful thing about how Carmen and Ricci had planned their Blackmore wedding was that everything was within walking distance once the wedding guests had arrived at the Church. Carmen had family that owned the land surrounding their chosen Church so they had a luxury marquee placed within the grounds and right next to where they tied the knot. What a bonus for everyone!

We did the confetti shot, which happened to be one of my favourite reactions of the 2022 season. So much energy and life.

I always find that couples appreciate some time to grab a drink and mingle with their guests before I whisk them away. The marquee had a transparent cover over the bar where guests enjoyed drinks, and then 50% of the marquee had the black out roof to give a more intimate feel for the sit down meal. The whole thing felt classy and very well planned out.

Once I was happy that the couple had composed themselves and soaked up the atmosphere with their guests, we spent some time around the grounds and captured some stunning, natural wedding photography in Blackmore.

The wedding reception was stylish and modern. We had Carmen and Ricci make a big entrance once the guests had taken their seats. The speeches were authentic and from the heart (the best kind of speech in my opinion). Check out a sneak peek of how this section of the day went:

Now, because everything was in close proximity, we only had to pop outside the marquee for any guests wanting to take a breather and stretch their legs after the 3 course meal. Carmen also wanted to do a bouquet toss which always goes down well.

During the period that I like to call the ‘wedding lull’, Ricci had arranged a surprise for his wife in the form of a piñata. The bride surprised everyone with how she took apart this traditional Mexican past time. It was certainly a high energy experience 🙂

Once these (fairly rare) activities were over, were heading towards the party section of the day. The Blackmore wedding photography was about to go up a notch in terms of energy. The couple had booked a live band which I think is a lovely touch at any event. They setup to the left of the bar where the roof of the marquee let the most light in. It was a cracking evening and a beautiful sunset while the wedding band got us underway.

There were some pretty outgoing characters at the wedding so it wasn’t long before we had a great dance floor full of people.

So there we have it – Blackmore wedding photography done in style thanks to Carmen and Ricci’s awesome choices for their big day.
