SURREY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I’ve been a Surrey wedding photographer for the past 8 years now but I hadn’t been to Foxhills Country Club & Resort before, so when Gaby & Anthony invited me along to a consultation to view their chosen venue, I was excited to see what it had to offer.
We met a few weeks before their big day to do a mock run through so I could see how they were as a couple & gain an insight into how they saw their day.
Gaby & Anthony are a lovely couple – laid back and quite reserved but they knew what they wanted from the day and that really helped me to visualise it before it happened.
We started with the groom prep & kept things rolling so we captured everything as naturally as possible. It was just Anthony and the best man during the morning but they had a great vibe and seemingly knew how to be themselves with me in the room. This made for some fantastic moments between the two of them.
Either that, or the presence of some Japanese whisky helped with the Dutch courage 😃. I didn’t blame them for cracking open the alcohol at 9.30am. Weddings can stir up some emotions you’ve never experienced before & I love that!
I left the gents to enjoy their whisky in peace & the wedding photography in Surrey continued with the bridal prep. When I arrived, the wedding hair & makeup was in full swing. I captured the wedding details first and then finished with some mock shots of Gaby’s hair and makeup. I have to say, the whole family was most welcoming & I felt like I’d known them for years. It was lovely to feel right at home & have an instant rapport with those closest to Gaby.
Right before I left for the Church, we did a first look with dad. It was building up to be a BIG moment and it didn’t disappoint. It’s always a stunning moment between father and daughter. A warm embrace from dad at the end was a touching end to the morning session.
I headed for the Church in Surrey in good time so I could capture the vibe inside with the groom and still had plenty of time to capture the arrival of the bride. The priest was amazing. Really laid back and refreshingly humorous. I pretty much had the run of the place so it was freedom all the way!
It was a beautiful ceremony that flowed nicely. Both Gaby & Anthony managed their vowels without a hiccup & it had a light hearted feel to it. There were a few jokes from the priest early on which set the tone & relaxed the couple.
Once the ceremony had finished & the confetti thrown in celebration, we headed to the majestic Surrey wedding venue – Foxhills Country Club & Resort.
SURREY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – FOXHILLS COUNTRY CLUB
Foxhills is a family run business and maintains that family feel when you visit. The 19th Century manor house sits in the centre of the impeccably kept grounds that boasts 2 championship golf courses.
Gaby and Anthony found me via my website & connected with my work as a cinematic Essex wedding photographer. They wanted a nice mix of playful & formal shots in various locations around the venue & I was blessed when they reached out and wanted to proceed.
We started at the entrance of the venue where we found a stunning forest. We kept everything relaxed and didn’t over think any of the moments. We then worked our way back up to the Manor house where their coverage ended. Here’s a sneaky peek of some of the lovely moments we captured.
So, there we have it, Gaby & Anthony’s Gorgeous wedding at Foxhills from Surrey Wedding Photographer – Chris Woodman.
